Hall’s Landing Impact® Rammed Aggregate Piers

Description:

Construction of a new 4 storey apartment building in Moncton, New Brunswick with one level of underground parking and column loads up to 175 kips.

Subsurface Conditions:

Fill consisting of silty sand with layers of organics underlain by glacial till.

AMCON Solution:

The Geopier Impact® System was chosen as an economical alternative solution to pilling allowing conventional construction and eliminating the need for a suspended slab. Approximately 700 element were installed over 2 months to support the roughly 23,500sq.ft apartment building. The Impact pier elements were installed up to 38 feet deep.
