Meet our team of experienced geotechnical construction and engineering professionals.

Ken Andrews, P.Eng. – Senior Advisor

Ken is a graduate of the Nova Scotia Technical College with a degree in Civil Engineering and a licensed Professional Engineer with over 30 years of construction experience. His responsibilities as Senior Advisor include over-seeing project procurement and management including design review, estimating, proposals, construction and quality control.

Stephanie Kennedy, P.Eng. – Manager of Engineering

Stephanie is a Dalhousie University graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering and a licensed Professional Engineer who joined the AMCON team in 2012. Her responsibilities as Manager of Engineering include design, estimating, proposals, AutoCAD drawings, quality control, project management and overseeing the company safety program.

Jesse Geldart – Operations Manager

Jesse joined the Amcon team in Fall of 2021 as Operations Manager.  Jesse brings over 20 years of experience in heavy civil construction including extensive work in the Geotechnical Construction industry. As Operations Manager, he will oversee the day-to-day operations of all AMCON projects working closely with the engineering, estimating and field teams to ensure all our projects are completed successfully while promoting our safety and quality programs.

Will Nelson, P.Eng. – Design Engineer

Will graduated from Dalhousie University in 2019 with a degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Geotechnical and Structural Engineering. Will joined the AMCON team in the Spring of 2020 as a Project Engineer, and has since moved to a Design Engineer role. His responsibilities as a Design Engineer include design, estimating, preparing proposals, project coordinating and preparing shop drawings.

Jim Long, E.I.T. – Design Engineer-in-Training

Jim graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 2021 with a bachelor of Science in Engineering, Civil Engineering. Jim joined the AMCON team in the Spring of 2023. His responsibilities as a Design Engineer-in-Training include design, estimating, preparing proposals, project coordinating and preparing shop drawings.

Shawn Lawrence – Shop Manager

Shawn Lawrence is a Veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy serving as a Marine Engineering Technician on board various ships. The latter of his career taking place in the Submarine service. He Joined the AMCON team in the summer of 2021. His responsibilities as Shop Manager include coordinating and managing all equipment for projects, maintenance, rental, procurement, and logistics.
